The aim of Non League Yorkshire is to promote all the semi-professional sides in Yorkshire.
Last season, as ‘Sports Performer’ set out on an unexpected journey as the site grew and grew and visitor numbers reached figures that were never imagined.
For the majority of the season, I relied on good relationships with managers, chairmen, players, secretaries from a small number of clubs to get the site going.
Now we head into the 2014-15 season with the site now achieving even bigger visitor numbers.
Non League Yorkshire has the full support of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League and its chairman David Morrall along with the West Riding County FA and its chief executive Hannah Simpson.
It is hoped that relationships can be built with almost every single Yorkshire club by the start of the 2014-15 campaign.
Obviously one man can not cover over 40 clubs in a week so this is where you could help Non League Yorkshire:
Are you a journalism student looking for experience? You could spend your Saturdays writing match reports and interviewing managers and building relationships with them for the site. This would look good on the CV.
Are you a manager, secretary or chairman of a club the site has never dealt with? Non League Yorkshire has covered some of the big local football stories this year, but things do get missed. Keep us regularly informed of news with press releases for player signings, general news, charity events, etc.
Have you followed or liked us on our social media accounts? Social media is massively important when giving clubs publicity so please ‘like’ Facebook page HERE or follow our Twitter account @NonLeagueNorth HERE – the more people who ‘like’ or follow us, the reach for our articles is higher.
Are you a player? Are you taking part in a charity fundraiser? Last season, the site covered Glasshoughton Welfare’s fundraising efforts for Cystic Fibrosis.
Are you a photographer? Ossett Albion have recently taken advantage of the site and are submitting photos for use in a mini match report. You could do the same?
The list of things you could do to help the site going forward into the new season is endless.
Please remember, this site is about you clubs, the players, the managers, the secretaries, the chairmen, the volunteers and is there as a resource to give you publicity each and every week of the season.
So if you’re in the NCEL or above and you’re in Yorkshire, this is the site for you!
