Knaresbrough enjoy free-scoring night

Knaresborough Town continued their strong pre-season campaign with a 7-1 battering of Harrogate Town u21s.

Steve Bromley and Brad Walker hit doubles for Knaresborough, whose other goal-scorers were Blaine Hobson, Ben Parkes and Calum Rodgers.

Danny Cawley hit a late winner as Athersley Rec defeated Parkgate 4-3. In a topsy-turvy encounter, Lee Garside, Connor White and Oliver Glavey scored for Rec, while Lebrun Mbeka, Kieran Hirst and Ashley Emmett hit the net for Parkgate.

Swallownest thrashed Phoenix 10-2, while Hallam won 3-0 at Retford.

Handsworth Parramore beat Clay Cross Town 5-2.

Worsbrough Bridge lost 2-1 at local neighbours Wombwell Main from the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior League.

Maltby Main won 3-2 at Eastwood Community.

Eccleshill United enjoyed a money-spinning night when Bradford City brought a strong side over. The League One side enjoyed a 3-0 success.

Campion defeated Liversedge 2-0.
