Bridge hit back after disastrous start

Calan Rollinson probably sent the population of Barnsley into deep shock when he scored in Worsbrough Bridge’s 4-2 victory at Dinnington Town.

Worsbrough Bridge overcame a disastrous start to win 4-2 at Dinnington Town.

Bridge were staring down the barrel of a second defeat in four days when Dinnington scored twice in the opening ten minutes.

Fortunately Worsbrough got their act together. New striker Billy Richardson hit two and had a goal disallowed. Brad Kerr also hit the target.

The population of Barnsley may be suffering from shock as youngster Calan Rollinson was a surprise addition to the score-sheet with his two-yard screamer.

Vill Powell enjoyed his first win as manager of Brighouse Town following a 2-1 success at Bridlington Town. Gabriel Johnson hit both goals.

Parkgate drew 2-2 with Teversal, while Maltby Main lost 3-0 to Chesterfield Youth.

East Yorkshire Carnegie defeated LIV Supplies 2-1.
