Ossett retain Steve Kelly trophy

Ossett Town retained the Steve Kelly Memorial Trophy with a 3-2 victory at Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

Seon Ripley, Josh Snowden and Charlie Lofts hit the target for Ossett in the annual match which is staged to celebrate the memory of the well-respected former Ossett and Hemsworth youth coach.

Nash Connolly and Nathan Perks scored for Hemsworth.

Eccleshill United stormed to a 8-2 win over a Curzon Ashton X1 – Marcus Edwards (2), Jonathan Irving (2), Chris Lever (2), Andy Cooper and Sam Bradley got the goals.

There were hat-tricks from Ash Flynn, Joel Hughes and Lewis Pickering as Yorkshire Amateur smashed Thornton United 11-1. Leon Henry and Harrison Blakey added the extras.

Goole AFC retained the Eric Lawton Cup in the 3-1 win at Selby Town. Jack Smith, Dan Barrett and Lewis Dennison found the net as Goole came from behind to win.

Callum Wiffen and Callum Johnson guided Rossington Main to a 2-1 success over a Sheffield United X1.

Pontefract Collieries started brilliantly against Evo Stik side Frickley Athletic as Chris Jackson gave them the lead.

However, Frickley hit back with six goals through Jacob Hazel, Steve Hopewell, Gavin Allott (2), Jameel Ible and Mark Simpson.

Liversedge were beaten 3-1 by Newton Aycliffe.
