Sam Lingard has rejoined Garforth
Sam Lingard has returned to Garforth Town ahead of the season’s opening fixture at Sunderland RCA.
Lingard briefly played for Garforth last season after leaving Pickering Town.
The no-nonsense defender can also be deployed as a centre-back.
Goalkeeper Stephen Weatherill has signed for Garforth after ending a two-year spell on the sidelines due to injury.
The former Knaresborough Town and Harrogate Railway man will provide competition and back-up for first choice ‘keeper Paul Hagreen.
