Former Bradford City academy player has signed for Jonathan Rimmington’s Liversedge.
Waters was with Frickley Athletic last season following his release from Bradford. He has been on the books at AFC Emley since the summer.
He and Rimmington go way back as the ‘Sedge boss used to coach him in junior football.
“Jack’s going to be a good player for us,” Rimmington told Non League Yorkshire.
“He’s very strong and can play in several different positions. He’s also left and right footed.
“I’ve known him since I had him as a junior when he was five and I’m delighted to sign him for Liversedge.”
‘Sedge are in FA Vase action tomorrow at Prestwich Heys, a few days on from the disappointing Emirates FA Cup defeat to Sunderland RCA.
Although gutted at the loss, Rimmington said the positive aspect was the huge attendance.
Support is growing for Rimmington’s talented and exciting team and he says it bodes well for the future.
“We got almost 250 people in for the Sunderland game which was unbelievable,” he said.
“It is just a huge shame that we couldn’t reward everyone with a win.
“But it shows heavily promoting the Garforth game was worth it. That was a massive success and I hope crowds keep going up because it is fantastic for the club in many ways.”
‘Sedge are missing Joe Kenny, Andrew Kenyon, Brandon Kane and Aaron Fell tomorrow.
Joe Walton is struggling with injury, but Rimmington is hopeful that he will be fit.
