Aaron Moxam scored two goals for Handsworth Parramore to defeat his old club Pontefract Collieries and end their incredible 14-match winning run.
Moxam, one of the key masterminds behind Pontefract’s successful promotion bid in 2015, scored either side of the interval in the highly-anticipated top-of-the-table clash.
Free-scoring Pontefract got off to a fantastic start as Jack Greenhough gave them a fourth minute lead.
Moxam then did his piece and 2-1 is how it remained despite a frantic last 30 minutes which saw the Ambers search for a third goal and Colls search for an equaliser.
The Ambers held on to move to within two points of second-placed Pontefract.
Josh Moore’s late equaliser appeared to have snatched a point for Parkgate, but there was a late twist which saw Worksop Town scored to win 2-1.
Bridlington Town battled out a 0-0 draw with Albion Sports at Queensgate.
