Returning Pontefract Collieries striker Aaron Moxam points the way the club wants to go
Club legend Aaron Moxam is back at Pontefract Collieries to supply more firepower for a full-on assault on the title in the final few months of the season.
Moxam returns from Handsworth Parramore, three years on from when his goals fired Pontefract to promotion out of Division One.
Pontefract’s management said: “We are delighted to get Aaron on board at what is a crucial time of the season. Aaron is a proven goalscorer at this level and we have no doubt that he’ll come and hit the ground running.
“He was the league’s top scorer last season and we are looking forward to working with him again.”

Great signing for Ponty, and could end up winning them the league. Handsworth seem to have gone backwards this season, i tipped them to win the league this year after catching a couple of their games at the end of last season. They had a terrific blend of talented hungry young players & experience.
Looked a little ring rusty to me when I’ve seen him this year, hope he ain’t going to spoil the good blend and work rate of the team as that is Ponte’s strength. Maybe one big signing too many as the lads upfront are flying. Just a thought too many cooks
