Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup
Penistone Church reached the final for the first ever time after beating Maltby Main 2-0 at home.
The final will be their third in two years following last year’s unprecedented successes.
Church led at the break as young Nathan Keightley broke clear and lobbed Maltby goalkeeper Josh Lill.
Keightley was involved again when Church sealed their passage to the final. He supplied the pass to Kieran Ryan who cut inside before scoring with a finish into the near post.
Church will now face either Shaw Lane or Frickley or Swallowest in the prestigious final.
3 cup finals in 2 seasons. We continue to exceed expectations, produce special nights and achieve continued success for our football club. Players need huge credit for their achievements. Pleasure to manage @pcfc1906 #oneclubonecommunity
