Four different players scored Ossett Albion as produced a performance to remember during their last ever match at Dimple Wells.

Albion are merging with neighbours Town next season to become Ossett United and all home matches will be played at Ingfield.

After a slow start, when the promotion-chasing visitors hit the post, Albion began to play some good football. Then just before the half-hour mark Scott Metcalfe scored the opening goal. Good hold-up play from Tom Corner saw his shot rebound to Marcus Day whose shot rebounded to Metcalfe.

Ten minutes later a deep corner from Aiden Chippendale was headed home by Corner to double Albion’s lead.

After the restart Albion managed to keep their performance going  and their cause was helped when Bamber Bridge had Macauley Wilson sent off just five minutes into the half.

With a man advantage Albion began to create numerous chances none of which were converted.

Then in the 72nd minute the ball broke to Adam Priestley who took it on and squared it for Chippendale to roll it into the net.

The scoring was completed when a defensive mix-up left Priestley to head the ball into an empty goal.

The performance brought enthusiastic applause for the team at the end of the match from both the crowd, which included former Premier League chairman Dave Richards, and the opposing players.
