Former Nostell Miners Welfare manager Terry Bates has joined Ossett United as head of recruitment.
The role will include identifying potential signings and watching future opposition as well as monitoring loan/dual registered players.
Bates started his Non League journey with Nostell as their under 19s and 21s boss before finishing up in the first team hot-seat during their annus horribilis season of 2016/17. Bates was the fourth person to hold the job that year and his job was basically to keep the club playing as they were too far adrift at the bottom of the league.
Since leaving Ossett he has led the under 19s and 21s at Ossett Albion and most recently Liversedge. He has held first team roles at both clubs.
