Three sign for Garforth and two leave

New Garforth Town defender Karl Fitzgerald in action for Hall Road Rangers last season

One new and two players from last season have signed for Paul Marshall’s Garforth Town, while two have departed.

Centre-half Karl Fitzgerald is the brand new addition. He spent last season with Hall Road Rangers having previously played for their manager Leon Sewell at East Yorkshire Carnegie (now known as East Hull).

Nineteen-year-old Joe Colley, who has made 60 appearances since stepping up from the club’s development team in 2018, is back for a further season. He was Garforth’s 2018/19 young player of the year.

Ex-Dunnington and i2i academy midfielder Connor Mayall has re-signed after appearing on the odd occasion last season.

Leaving Garforth are Kane Bingley and former Ossett Town and Harrogate Railway centre-half Alex Low. In the case of Low’s departure, Marshall has Sam Denton, Jamie Barkway and now Fitzgerald to fill the void.
