Scott Phillips seems to be picking up where he left off after a double in North Ferriby’s 3-1 home victory over Albion Sports.
Phillips, back in Non League Football after a three-year hiatus, was at his prolific best in the win.
Phillips pounced in the fifth minute by placing home an unmissable chance from a few yards after strike-partner Danny East had cantered down the right-side and sent a low cross into the box.
East was able to place his name on the score-sheet as he doubled Ferriby’s lead as he struck gold after some fine build-up play.
Ben McCready’s spectacular top corner free kick pulled a goal back for Albion on the stroke of half-time.
But Phillips ensured Ferriby ended victorious as on the hour mark, he ran onto a through ball. Two touches later and the striker had sent the ball into the left-hand bottom corner.
Chris Wood dramatically scored the last-minute winner as Hallam won 4-3 at Dinnington Town. Kieran Watson (2) and Iren Wilson also found the net.
Parkgate survived a late fight-back in the 3-2 victory over Shirebrook Town. A trialist, Brandon Bagley and Matthew Crookes scored.
Tom Cadzow, Jack Wilson, Sidney Santos and Layton Swaine ensured a cracking afternoon for Hemsworth Miners Welfare who beat Rossington Main 4-1.
