Haw heads Emley to last minute victory over Ferriby

Young Adam Haw grabbed the headlines after his last minute header snatched a 1-0 win for Emley AFC over North Ferriby.

The battle of the two fancied Division One sides had seemingly produced a stalemate after a tight encounter.

Ferriby hit the post with a shot from distance, while Sam Pashley watched a bullet header cannon back off the crossbar. 

There were of the two main highlights until Haw leapt to brilliantly head Marcus Haydock’s cross beyond Lewis Exall.

Yorkshire Amateur continued their perfect start in the Premier Division with a 4-1 win at rivals Bridlington Town.

Ash Flynn’s late double made the score-line more resounding, but the Ammers were well on their way to victory by half-time after Fernando Moke and Adam Priestley’s goals. Joe McFadyen was Brid’s second half goal-scorer.

Handsworth scored late again after Callum Watson rescued a point in the 1-1 draw at Barton Town.

Charlie Baird placed Penistone Church ahead at AFC Mansfield, the league’s FA Cup heroes hit back to win 4-1. 

Ashley Mills scored Athersley Rec’s goals in the 8-2 defeat to Grimsby Borough.
