Toolstation Northern Counties East League matches have been hit by issues relating to Covid-19 for the first time.
It is not surprising at all given the rising cases across the country. The North West Counties League and the Northern League have had numerous cases over the past month so it was inevitable the NCEL would face problems at some stage.
Two midweek games have been called off. Swallownest’s trip to Skegness Town is off as “a number of Swallownest were showing Covid-19 symptoms and were awaiting test results”.
Albion Sports’ clash with Yorkshire Amateur on Wednesday night has also been postponed as a precaution after players at Albion were told to self isolate by the NHS Test & Trace app.
