James Burgess is giving Non League Football a go again with his local team Garforth Town.
Burgess was one of the quickest forwards in the lower reaches of Non League when he played for the likes of Garforth, Farsley Celtic, Shaw Lane Aquaforce and Wakefield FC.
In recent years he has been playing local football for Horsforth St Margarets in the Yorkshire Amateur League.
His previous Garforth spell was during Vernol Blair’s tenure, while his Guiseley stint was literally during the dying embers of the Steve Kittrick era in 2013.
He does have a promotion on his CV as he helped Shaw Lane win promotion from NCEL Division One under Craig Elliott in 2014. Burgess was a useful impact player at the end of that season.
