Treble winner Andy Payne has committed to play for Goole AFC on a permanent basis.
The midfielder won the treble with West Yorkshire League Premier Division outfit Carlton Athletic during Goole joint manager Mark Pitts’ time at the helm of Carlton.
Payne has already made two ‘guest’ appearances for the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division.
The second is the most notable as he was in the heat of the battle during Goole’s heroic goal-less draw with title-chasing Yorkshire Amateur in midweek.
His ‘permanent appearance’ is likely to be tomorrow when Goole visit Knaresborough Town.
Payne has played five times for Carlton this season and has contributed two goals to the cause.
