Dacre commits to Goole

Former Worsbrough captain Josh Dacre is staying with Goole AFC

Defender Josh Dacre has become the first player to commit to Goole AFC for next season.

Dacre started the abandoned 2020/21 season with Grimsby Borough, but joined Goole a couple of weeks into the campaign when Lutel James and Les Nelson were in charge.

He stayed with the Vikings when Mark Pitts and Simon Portrey took the helm and he has now again pledged his loyalty to the club who are now managed by Mike Carmody.

Carmody was appointed at the turn of the year, but has yet to take command of a competitive fixture due to the lockdown and curtailment of the campaign.

Goole have played several friendlies since the return of sport in March and their pre-season fixture schedule for next season begins with a home clash with Belper Town on the 2nd July.
