Rampant Selby Town are there up as one of the early pace-setters after another goal-spree with the 5-1 beating of Hall Road Rangers.
Selby have now scored 14 goals in just four league games but the clash with against their former manager Leon Sewell’s Hall Road was closer than the score-line suggests.
Flynn McNaughton’s double did the main damage – the ex-Scarborough Athletic forward scoring twice after in-form Harry Clapham had broken the deadlock late in the first half.
Sam Robinson did get Hall Road back into at 2-0.
The Robins victory was rounded off in the last few minutes when Liam Flanagan and Jon-Paul Vas’s found the net.
Dark horses Rossington Main pulled off a stunning 5-2 win at fancied Hallam thanks to Niall Doran’s hat-trick.
Richard Patterson leapt like a salmon to place Hallam ahead in the fifth minute with a fifth minute header.
Jack Watson levelled the match on the half-hour mark.
Former Worksop Town star Steve Woolley regained the lead for Hallam when his deflected shot trickled home.
But the scores were level at the break as Doran equalised from the penalty spot.
Rossington grabbed the lead for the first time straight after half-time through Watson and Doran wrapped the win up with two goals to complete his treble.
North Ferriby threw everything at Brigg Town in a frantic climax but Chris Bolder’s men had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Ferriby looked set for a great night after Levi Tarbotton’s fourth minute opener.
Jack Boswell equalised for Marcus Newell’s Brigg close to half-time and the visitors stunned the home support by taking the lead on the hour thanks to Alfie Usher.
Ferriby hit back straight as the experienced Danny Buttle pounced during a goal-mouth scramble.
Brigg’s goalkeeper made an unbelievable save late-on and the Brigg defence had to work like trojans to keep their hosts at bay.
