Career Highlight
Scoring 10 goals from centre mid for Shelley in the 19/20 season where we would have probably gone on to get promoted if not for covid-19 with only 4 games to go! A fantastic team and a great bunch of lads, if we’d have been promoted I’ve no doubt we’d still be together and be even stronger.
Most Memorable Game
Coming on as a sub in the FA Youth Cup at the Shay, scoring a hat-trick! Each of which from more that 25 yards out!
Lowest moment in football
Losing out on promotion with Shelley due to covid-19, not having the chance to have another year or two together and missing a year and half of football due to the pandemic!
Biggest regret in football
I don’t really have any regrets!
Funniest moment in football
Nothing really comes to mind, some funny initiations songs this year at Campion! I went with Escape (Pina Colada song) that went down at great!
First semi-professional manager
Ash Berry. Has a reputation for having an aggressive attitude which I liked, he’s straight up, fair and you always know where you stand with Ash.
Non League Debut
My actual debut was when I was 15 playing for Liversedge under Dave Thompson away at Nostell Miners (during the 2013/14 season) before I went to the youth set up at Halifax, don’t remember too much about the game but I think I held my own!
First Red Card in Non League
When I was 18 playing for Emley against Yorkshire Amateurs, I was particularly angry before the game as I thought I should have started. I came on sub we were 4-0 down and I went through the left back and saw red. Emotions got the better of me that day!
First and Best Non League Goal
First goal I can’t really remember! Best goal was for Ponte in the FA Cup against FC United of Manchester. We were 5-0 down at half time and set up all wrong. At half-time the gaffer changed our shape to sit and not be broken and try win the second half which we did! I scored the second, a short throw from the left side, turned out on the corner of the 18 yard box and smashed it in dipping over the keeper into the far post. I never got the recording! (ed. until now!) We lost 6-2 but won the second half 2-1!

What do you want to achieve in football in the future?
At the minute at Campion we’re doing really well and we’ve started gaining some momentum, I think we’ve got a great chance at playoffs even with our rocky start, as the squad is really strong and the management are focused on the league. Personally I would like to score and assist as much as I can, for a centre mid I always set the target of 10 goals and I’m already on 8 goals and 8 assists, 15 goals or more would be amazing!
Favourite Non League Ground
Probably Marine FC, played against AFC Liverpool there a few times, always a tough place to go, had some great battles there with a decent surface and crowd.
