FA Vase draw and round-up
High-flying Eccleshilll United will face fellow in-form side Barton Town in the FA Vase second round next month.
Eccleshill comfortably won 5-2 at Heaton Stannington on Saturday to book their place in the draw.
Andy Cooper (penalty), Ellis Wade, Luke Aldrich, Aiden Day and Zackary Sangster hit the target.
Nathan Jarman’s Barton successfully overcame North West Counties League strugglers Cleator Moor Celtic in a 3-1 victory.
Tom Waudby (2) and Ben Hincliffe were the sharp-shooters.
Emley’s reward for beating Longridge Town is a tough trip to Newcastle Benfield.
Goals from Sam Pashley, Callum Charlton, Lennon O’Grady and Jack Bennett provided Emley with a 4-1 win.
North Ferriby are the other Yorkshire side in the draw and they will face a huge test in an away tie at North Shields.
The ties will be played on Saturday 20th November.
Garforth Town were one of the sides who suffered heart-break as they were minutes away from victory at Burscough before losing the penalty shoot-out.
James Burgess had put Garforth within touching distance of victory until Burscough equalised with five minutes to go.
The Miners lost the shootout 6-5.
Player/manager Alex Nightingale brought Swallownest back into their tie with Birtley Town but they were beaten 3-1.
Nightingale made it 2-1 with 12 minutes to go.
Three late goals put the tie out of reach for Goole AFC who lost 5-1 at Winterton Rangers.
Mitch Pattinson scored early on for Goole.
Winterton will visit Prestwich Heys in the next round.
Daniel Naidole’s two goals were not enough for Golcar United as they lost 3-2 at Newcastle Benfield.
Parkgate lost 6-0 at Parkgate.
