Handsworth have confirmed the appointment of Jason Dodsworth and Aiden Spowage as the club’s permanent joint managers.

The pair took charge three weeks ago after Russ Eagle’s departure and have since guided the Ambers to five wins out of six in all competitions.

Saturday’s 2-1 loss at Barton Town was their first defeat at the helm.

Dodsworth told Handsworth’s website: “I’m(we’re) absolutely buzzing and so proud to be at the helm of this brilliant club.

“Aiden and I work well together, we have different strengths that complement each other.

“The support from (chairman) John (Ward) and (vice-chairman) Steve (Holmes) and the whole club is unbelievable and we will be working all hours to reward the faith that’s been placed in us.”

Spowage said: “This club means the world to me and my family.

“I’ve represented the club at every level U7-first team and managed/coached the 18’s 19’s, and reserves and of course have been part of the 1st team management team for the past two seasons.

“I’m really looking forward to grasping the opportunity given to Jase and I.

“We’ll be working hard to ensure we repay the faith that’s been placed in us by John & Steve.”
