Joe Jagger scored a hat-trick in Emley’s astonishing seven-goal demolition of Handsworth.

The gigantic win ends a run of four games without a victory in all competitions for Emley and puts a five-point gap between them and third-bottom Albion Sports.

Emley were two goals to the good at the interval.

Midfielder Joe Kenny grabbed his first goal after pouncing on the rebound from Jagger’s had which had hit the crossbar.

The former Brighouse Town striker then hit his first goal of the night.

The second half was a dream for Emley.

Max Tweddle lobbed goalkeeper Joe Bacon for the third goal eight minutes into the second half.

A Jagger penalty stretched the lead even further after Kenny had been felled.

Debutant Lewis Whitham fired home after dancing past several Handsworth defenders to take the score-line up to 5-0.

Whitham and Jimmy Eyles linked up to provide Jagger with the ball so he could secure his treble as the game reached the final ten minutes.

The seventh goal was scored by Eyles.
