New Pontefract Collieries goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson

Top goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson has joined Pontefract Collieries from Nostell Miners Welfare.

The former Huddersfield Town stopper has been outstanding for Nostell this season and has been one of the leading ‘keepers in the Toolstation NCEL Division One.

He arrives at Ponte ahead of the six-pointer with Pickering Town on Saturday at Beechnut Lane.

The Colls recently signed Declan Lambton on loan from Guiseley but has been recalled and is in goal tonight for the Lions in the clash with Southport at Nethermoor.

Rothwell-born Allinson came through the youth ranks at Huddersfield Town and made one first team appearance for the Terriers in May 2016.

He then played five times for Chesterfield in the Football League after his release from Huddersfield.

He dropped into Non League Football with FC United of Manchester in 2017 and he spent two years with them.

He has since moved about a bit and played for the likes of Guiseley, Ashton United, Gainsborough Trinity and Scarborough Athletic.
