Fog caused the abandonment of three games across the Yorkshire region.

Matches at Garforth Town, FC Humber United and Campion fell to the fog while Penistone Church suffered a third abandonment of the season due to floodlight failure.

Garforth were leading 2-0 against Handsworth in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division when referee Joshua Martin blew for an early finish at half-time.

Handsworth had been reduced to ten men after Rikki Paylor’s red card and Garforth had taken full advantage as captain Dan Coupland had scored from the resulting free kick.

Joe Colley then added the second but it was all for nothing.

FC Humber were drawing 2-2 with Ollerton Town in Division One.

Brandon Burke and Jack Prentice were on the score-sheet before the fog caused its abandonment with 13 minutes to go.

Campion broke their record attendance as nearly 500 attended the North West Counties League First Division North encounter with Bury AFC.

But they only got the first half as visibility was non-existent for the second half.

Campion had given Bury a rough ride as they had taken an early lead through Nicky Boshell.

Bury did end up taking the lead themselves but Paddy Sykes ensured it was level at the break.
