Penistone Church 3-1 Emley AFC
Nathan Keightley scored a first half hat-trick as Penistone Church put local rivals Emley AFC to the sword.
The Sunday afternoon fixture was a huge success all round for Church who took the lead in the 20th minute in front of over 800 people.
The former Glasshoughton striker running through and scoring past Emley goalkeeper Sam Kelly.
Emley responded straightaway.
Joe Jagger brilliantly flicked on Kelly’s long punt and Eyles raced in between the Church defence and lobbed Chris Snaith to score.
Two quick-fire goals literally on the stroke of half-time ultimately put the game beyond Emley.
Keightley struck with an effort that flew into the bottom corner to restore the lead before breaking clear again to complete his hat-trick.

It was a great afternoon and football was the winner. A record crowd and some very competitive football. Nathan was on fire with a terrific hat trick. Grassroots football at its best. Our volunteers put in a huge shift to ensure that fans of both teams were well looked after with refreshments available. Finally to Referee Moss and his team you played your part.
