New Steeton goalkeeper Cameron Perron came out of the 2-1 win over Ilkley Town unscathed.

American Perron is the latest incumbent of the cursed position which has haunted Roy Mason all season.

Perron is a student with RIASA – who previously had players playing for Eccleshill United and Garforth Town several years ago.

Perron stepped to be another emergency stopper after Fletcher Paley was injured in his return to the club.

Paley had replaced Tom Simpson was fractured his finger in his only appearance at Holker Old Boys.

Prior to that Jordan Moorhouse, Oliver Brackenbury and Stuart Cross have all become injured during the tale of woe.

Mason has also had George Bristol at one stage but he has been recalled by parent club Clitheroe.
