Youth and experience arrive at Nostell

Toolstation NCEL Division One

Nostell Miners Welfare manager Ian Walker

Youth and experience have joined Nostell Miners Welfare this week.

Ian Walker has been busy on the recruitment recently and two players have arrived at Crofton Community Centre.

Farsley Celtic under 23s captain Keanan Mannings is one capture.

Mannings is a midfielder and he once had a trial with Bradford City.

The other is Kris Robertshaw who is a centre-back and defensive midfielder.

Robertshaw played for Walker during his glory days at Robin Hood in the West Yorkshire League and for first team coach Mark Pitts during Carlton Athletic’s unprecedented three-season domination of the West Yorkshire League Premier Division.

Robertshaw has also previously played for Garforth Town in the NCEL.

If they beat the storm, Nostell are due to host Harrogate Railway on Saturday.
