Eccleshill United are in the driving seat for second place going into the final two games of the season following another night of drama and twists.

Four points out of a remaining six will put Eccleshill in the lottery for promotion to Step 4.

Eccleshill did their bit by coming from behind to win 3-1 against local rivals Silsden.

Josimar Bradshaw’s seventh minute goal separated the sides until Jonny Irving equalised on the hour.

Sam Bradley and Luke Aldrich sealed the win late-on.

Eccleshill face Penistone Church on Saturday before visiting Athersley Rec on the final day.

Garforth Town striker James Burgess

Garforth Town have a very outside chance after they ended Winterton Rangers’ 13 game winning run.

James Burgess and Jed Zanos’ penalty earned Paul Marshall’s men their latest victory.

Garforth can only claim second place if they pick up six points and Eccleshill fail to win their remaining games.
