Barton Town Old Boys striker Scott Phillips won’t be joining Tadcaster Albion
Barton Town Old Boys leading goal-scorer Scott Phillips has turned down the chance to move to Tadcaster Albion.
Barton, who were bottom of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division table after four games, have won five league matches out of their last six.
Phillips has played a pivotal role in that run and is top of the charts for Barton with 12 goals.
Dave Anderson was desperate to keep him at Barton and after meeting with the striker, the Barton chief persuaded to stay with last season’s runners-up.
