Humber Premier League
Club great Dave Ricardo is back at the helm of Beverley Town after winning the race to succeed Mike Thompson.
Ricardo leaves his position as Hall Road Rangers joint manager to return to the role he vacated in 2014.
Former Barton Town and Selby Town boss Ricardo, the NCEL Division One championship-winning manager, probably feels he has unfinished business as he led them to unprecedented consecutive Humber Premier League titles in his first spell.
However, the club were unable to go up at the time as their ground was not ready for NCEL.
Now it is and the club are gearing up for NCEL football for the first time in their history next season.
Ricardo will reunite with his old comrade Billy Gill – the gentleman who assisted him during Hall Road Rangers’ title-triumph in 2017.
Steve Mulligan will also be one of his assistants.
Beverley couldn’t have appointed anyone with more NCEL experience for their first season at Step 6.
Ricardo brings huge knowledge of opposition clubs, players and he also knows what is required to ensure a smooth running of the transport and logistics departments.
