Farsley almost beat Class of ’92

Farsley AFC almost pulled off a huge scalp in the Evo Stik Division One North after holding title favourites Salford City to a 1-1 draw.
Farsley led through Robbie O’Brien’s goal until the final two minutes when Gareth Seddon equalised for the team owned by Manchester United’s Class of 92.
Ryan Blott and Gary Bradshaw secured Scarborough Athletic a 2-0 win over Ossett Town.
Harrogate Railway lost 4-3 at Kendal Town – Malachi Farquarson, Nathan Cartman and Mike Morris scoring.
Two dramatic last minute goals sensationally guided Brighouse Town to a 4-3 win over New Mills.
Ernest Boafo and Barrie Frankland had scored for Brighouse during the first half, but they trailed going into the climax.
But that’s Tyrone Gay and James Hurtley popped up with the goods.
In Division One South, Goole drew 2-2 with Market Drayton and Stocksbridge earned a point in the 1-1 stalemate with Tividale.
In the Premier Division, Frickley Athletic lost 3-2 at Skelmersdale United.
Tadcaster Albion needed a late Tom Chamberlain winner to keep them top of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division.
Josh Greening put them ahead in the 2-1 win over Pickering Town, but Joe Danby levelled the scores on the hour.
Shaw Lane Aquaforce remain hot on their heels after a Shane Kelsey penalty secured a 2-1 win at the expense of Worksop Town.
Barton Town Old Boys’ remarkable run continues as Armthorpe Welfare were brushed aside in a 3-1 win.
Mitchell Pearson and Andrew Wood earned Liversedge a 2-0 win at crisis club Thackley.
Athersley Rec won 3-2 at Maltby Main, while the doom and gloom continues at Glasshoughton and Nostell.
Glasshoughton were thrashed 6-1 at home to Albion Sports, while Nostell lost 5-1 to Cleethorpes in their first home game of the season.
In Division One, AFC Emley’s fine campaign continues as Rossington Main were thrashed 4-0.
Eccleshill United are close behind after winning 1-0 at Yorkshire Amateur.
Knaresborough’s recent luck was once again against them after a 2-2 draw at Louth Town.
Two devastating late goals denied Hallam their first win of the season – Shirebrook Town won 3-2 at Sandygate.
Pontefract Collieries won 2-0 at hopeless Grimsby Borough, while Penistone Church shocked Bottesford Town 1-0 and Hemsworth hammered Lincoln Moorlands Railway 7-2.
