One of York City’s promotion heroes has won a contract with the club for the coming season.
Michael Duckworth was a crucial player in the club’s run to the play-offs until injury curtailed his season prior to the knockout games.
Duckworth was invited back for pre-season to prove his fitness and and John Askey is satisfied the ex-Bradford (Park Avenue) and Hartlepool United right-back has something to offer his side.
He will compete with Ryan Fallowfield for the right-back berth.
