The takeover at Yorkshire Amateur has now been confirmed.
A group of local people dramatically seized control of the club early last week, leading to the exits of manager Nathan Cartman and the playing staff.
The identity of the new manager is yet to be confirmed, but new players have begun to sign for the Ammers who say more announcements will be made soon.
A statement said: “We can now confirmed that Yorkshire Amateur Football Club has now been taken over directly by the community.
“There will be more posts over the coming days/weeks around the club’s new structure, management team and players.
“Over the last few days we have assembled a squad of local players and staff we are confident in who in order to support the financial difficulties the club has been left in, players and staff will be doing all their duties on and the field for free.
“We aim to give the club and community a young team they can be proud of which will develop in a positive way.
“The club has some really good people doing some great jobs, who will now have a major voice and influence in the future direction of their club.
“We are also looking for volunteers to help in all aspects of the club.
“We would like to make it clear the women’s and junior section will continue with their excellent work with them being an integral part of the club.”
