Albion Sports manager Riz Mohammed

Rizwan Mohammed says Albion Sports’ main aim is to stabilise the club on-the-pitch.

Albion won a reprieve from relegation and Mohammed is hopeful their season of struggle is behind them.

“We know how strong the league is, we’re not under any illusions, but we’re targeting for around mid-table,” Mohammed told Non League Yorkshire.

“We want to stabilise the club and part of the rebuilding process is to bring a bit of stability.

“Part of that is happening now as the club have plans and we’re almost in the final stages of cementing the future.

“Over the next 12 months I think there is going to be big changes for us.”

Mohammed feels he has addressed the team’s shortcomings too.

“Of course it is going to be tough but what we missed last season is experience but the players we have brought in have it,” he said.

“Tom Ponter is an experienced head and last year we had too many 18 to 19 year-olds and they didn’t have Non League football experience.”
