Campion striker Day haunts old club Railway

Toolstation NCEL Division One

Harrogate Railway 1-3 Campion

Campion striker Marcus Day

Marcus Day haunted his old side Harrogate Railway by scoring twice in Campion’s 3-1 win at Station View.

It was a day to forget for Railway who enjoyed a dream start after Luke Stewart fired in Joe Crosby’s pass.

One of the big moments in the game was the dismissal of Railway goalkeeper Joe Wilton for handling outside the penalty area.

Day equalised on the stroke of half-time after beating the offside trap and striking past defender Mike Morris who replaced Wilton in goal.

Campion took full advantage of their extra man and effectively sowed up the points by the hour mark.

Paddy Sykes hit the second before Day scored again on the hour.
