Jason Barnes scored the very late winner for Pickering Town in the huge 2-1 victory at fellow strugglers Seaham Red Star, handing Rudy Funk his first win.
Even former Leeds United striker Tony Hackworth had his boots back on for the crunch game which both sides needed to win.
Pickering’s assistant manager made an instant impact as he fed the ball to Harry Jessop for the 12th minute opener.
Pickering remained in front until the 76th minute when Seaham equalised.
Undeterred, Pickering kept plugging away and Barnes headed home the winner with five minutes to go.
