The 2019 winners North Gawber successfully overcame a difficult test in Wombwell Main to reach the second round of the Senior Cup.
Jake Chapman was Gawber’s hero as he scored the only goal of the game.
Liam Ormsby scored four times as Nostell Miners Welfare showed no mercy on South Kirkby Colliery in the 6-1 hammering of their hosts.
Joe Wood and Charlie Parnell also netted for Ian Walker’s troops.

Dodworth Miners Welfare hit back with force by scoring three quick-fire first half goals after conceding early on against Sheffield Town.
Dodworth equalised instantly through striker Jack Owen who carved out his own chance.
Referee Mark Ullyott then pointed to the penalty spot after young starlet Calan Rollinson catapulted into the air.
Owen converted the spot kick.
Captain Aaron Brotherton leapt like a tall and musclier salmon to head home Danny Barlow’s free kick to seal a 3-1 win.
