Brad Dockerty’s cracker ensured another victory for reborn Bradford (Park Avenue).
The 2-1 defeat of third-placed Gloucester City at Horsfall Stadium on Monday night makes it four wins out of five for Avenue who now sit in the lofty heights of 19th.
Beating one of the top sides is Avenue’s biggest scalp this season and breeds huge confidence going into a busy period.
Avenue flew out of the blocks as in-form striker Jacob Blyth tapped home in the seventh minute.
Gloucester equalised ten minutes before half-time.
Dockerty made himself the hero just before the hour mark with a brilliant effort from the edge of the penalty area.
Avenue are away at Chester FC on Saturday.
