Dream debut for new Steeton striker

North West Counties First Division North Round-Up

Arale Mohamed scored twice on Steeton debut

Second half substitute and debutant Arale Mohamed let off a few fireworks by scoring two very late goals to earn Steeton a 3-1 win over Bacup Borough.

The striker was announced as a signing on the morning of the game and he had an instant impact for Roy Mason’s side.

Steeton are now five games unbeaten and they had to come from behind to claim a point.

Bacup took a 12th minute lead and they led for a period of time.

Andy Briggs eventually equalised with a great finish on the stroke of half-time.

A cross from Toby Jeffrey allowed Mohamed to smash home with five minutes to go and turn the three points towards Steeton.

A similar goal in added time wrapped up the win.

Ilkley Town striker Tom Smith

Tom Smith scored a hat-trick as high-flying Ilkley Town moved to within five points of top spot after winning 4-2 at Cleator Moor Celtic.

Kevin Gonzalez also netted for Ilkley.
