Ryan Hindley is slowly turning Hallam around after three wins in seven league games

Ryan Hindley insists that there is still a long way to go, but he believes Hallam are heading in the right direction.
Hindley has raised Hallam from the foot of the Toolstation NCEL Division One table and guided them to within touching distance of fourth-bottom Winterton Rangers.
He has had an instant impact since replacing Steve Toyne – winning three of his first seven league games in charge.
The most recent being the 3-2 win over second-placed Clipstone in midweek which briefly lifted them out of the relegation zone.
Fourteen new players have arrived at Hallam since his appointment and Hindley told Non League Yorkshire: “They are showing just how good they are, but I want to keep everyone’s feet on the ground.
“Dronfield Town won on Wednesday so there is a lot of work still to do.
“We came out of the bottom two for 24 hours which was nice.
“If people work hard then we have the ability to beat anyone.
“There is progress and by the end of the weekend I should know my strongest team after this weekend.
“We have taken charge of nine games and we have lost three games (in the league).
“We didn’t deserve to lose to Louth and to Shirebrook and if you spoke to (Shirebrook manager) Julian (Watts), he’d say the same.
“Yorkshire Amateur was a catalogue of errors.
“We’re putting a brick on a brick and we’re are slowly turning it around.”
Hallam have another major test at Sandygate tomorrow as league leaders AFC Emley and Hindley added: “I’m full of respect for Darren (Hepworth) for the job he has done as he’s been there a few years and he had built a club.
“I hope he gets them promoted alongside Clipstone.
“Emley need to win and so do we as it was in the Clipstone game so it is a big game for both sides.
“I planned to take four points from the three games with Yorkshire Amateur, Clipstone and Emley.
“If we draw I’m not going to lose any sleep. If we win then I’ll be over the moon.”
