Dave Anderson has bolstered his Barton Town Old Boys squad with the signing of Danny Chambers from Ossett Town.

Striker Chambers is likely to make his debut at Thackley tomorrow – if the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division fixture survives the bad weather which has been sweeping the country.

Chambers had been a mainstay of Ossett’s squad since his arrival at the club in September.

Anderson told his club’s official website: “Danny is somebody I’ve followed closely for a while now.

“He fits the ethos of what we are trying to achieve at Barton in that he is a young and hungry player.

“He’s always had a good scoring record throughout his career and he will certainly add something to the team. I am looking forward to working with him.”

Chambers was previously with Hull City where he featured in their Youth Team’s run to the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals in 2013.
