Hull United have added some Brazilian flair with the signings of strikers Marcos Miranda and Feliple Odaguiri.
It is another boost for the club’s quest for promotion to the Toolstation Northern Counties East League.
The pair, who are studying at Hull University, have joined after the recommendation of chairman Jamie Waltham, who is involved in the Hull Futsal Club where their skills caught the eye.
Miranda and Odaguiri could make their debuts on Saturday in the Humber Premier League against Goole United at Dene Park.
Miranda told the club’s official website: “Jamie asked us about coming down and we spoke to Curtis and are very happy to be given such a good opportunity. It’s an offer too good to turn down.
“Our first impression is very good. We like the promise this team has and we see the ground and Ciao’s and are very impressed. We cannot train tonight but we are very excited for Saturday afternoon.”
Curtis Woodhouse said: “It’s another good couple of signings for us that will help boost us greatly. I am happy with the level of competition for places we have at the club now including the added addition of Jamie Richardson last week We are in really good shape.”
The pair will be looking to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Geovanni in showcasing their Brazilian skills in the city, who famously scored some stunning goals for Hull City during their first spell in the Premier League.
