Shaw Lane Aquaforce are on the verge of completing improvements to their home in time for the March 31st deadline.

The Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title hopefuls have a list of big jobs to do if they want to be considered for promotion to the Evo Stik next season.

This includes the installation of a new 200 seater stand behind the bottom goal, fencing around the ground and tarmacking the changing room side for spectators.

The new fencing and tarmacking was finished for the visit of Liversedge on Tuesday night.

The preliminary work for the new stand has also been done and it is expected to be fitted in the coming days.

Aquaforce chairman Craig Wood said: “People were saying at the Liversedge game that the ground was looking really good.

“We haven’t finished yet so that was a huge positive.

“We will have a great looking stadium for next season, regardless of what league we are playing in.

“The work ensures that we will have the category required for promotion, should we finish top of the pile on the 2nd May at ten to five.”
