Paul Lines saw his Nostell team reduced to eight men in the 4-2 defeat to Worksop

Worksop Town controversially returned to winning ways with a 4-2 victory at eight man Nostell Miners Welfare.

Last week it was Shaw Lane who finished with nine men against Worksop, now Nostell were on the receiving end in a game that they led twice in.

Matthew Johnson and Dave Bordman saw red in the first half of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division clash, while Adam Clayton was dismissed late in the game.

Shaw Lane Aquaforce revived their title hopes with a 3-0 win at Heanor Town.

Tadcaster could only draw with Athersley Rec, while Cleethorpes’ bid looks stronger after a 5-0 win at Glasshoughton.

In Division One, AFC Emley took advantage of results elsewhere by beating Eccleshill United 2-1.

Clipstone lost 1-0 at Emley’s neighbours Penistone Church.

Pontefract Collieries drew 1-1 at Bottesford Town, whilst Hemsworth boosted their chances by beating AFC Mansfield 2-1.
