Nostell Miners Welfare’s progress was further demonstrated after a battling 1-1 draw at Heanor Town in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division.

The afternoon did not start too well for Nostell as the home side went in front after just 15 minutes.

Booth’s cross was headed back across goal by Hall and Jay Cooper nodded into the empty net.

Nostell goalkeeper Ben Saynor was then called upon to make an excellent save from danger man Kieran DeBrouwer.

It wasn’t all one-way traffic as Nostell created their own chances and Rob Bordman forced a good save from Heanor goalkeeper as the comeback got underway.

Soon after, Saynor made a brilliant stop from Cooper’s goal-bound effort.

Nostell equalised straight after half-time. Bordman provided the cross for the goal after some clever footwork. The cross was knocked back by Tony Doran and in-form striker James Kitson tapped the ball home on the goal-line.

Nostell did have a lucky escape late-on. Cooper smashed the woodwork with a long range volley. The rebound dropped to Bowler and had the simple task of placing the ball into the empty net, but instead the substitute embarrassingly hit the crossbar.

Another brilliant effort from Nostell, whose season is ending on a high.
