Tadcaster Albion remain in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title race after a 1-0 win at Albion Sports.

Tadcaster are outsiders for top spot, but second place is a real possibility if they keep winning as Paul Marshall’s men face faltering Worksop Town on the last day of the season.

Keeping faith with the team that thrashed Armthorpe Welfare in midweek, Tadcaster came up trumps again with their fourth straight win in all competitions.

In-form striker David Brown and left-back Paddy Miller both had chances, but it was left to substitute Josh Greening to score the winner on the hour mark.

Tadcaster Albion manager Paul Marshall:

“It was a really tough game which it always is against Albion Sports and it is nice to get two clean sheets in a row.

“There was a bit of luck and Tom Morgan made an outstanding save at the end from Danny Facey.

“Morgs has won us two points there. We’re having a bit of luck which deserted us in March and maybe it is our turn to have a bit of luck in this run-in.”

Tadcaster Albion: Morgan, Bissett, Miller, Ormsby, Ingram, Sparkes, Thompson, Claisse, Ward, Brown, Milne. Subs: Greening, Barrett, Lawrie
Attendance: 119
