Dan Thirkell was the main winner at Harrogate Railway’s Player of the Year awards on Saturday.
A few hours after scoring his first goal of the Evo Stik Division One North season in Railway’s 3-0 win over Lancaster, Thirkell went home with most of the trophies at the awards.
The versatile player won the supporters’ player of the year, manager’s player of the year alongside a long service award.
Thirkell has been in the Railway side for almost ten years having made his debut at 16 under Martin Haresign.
Club coach Richard Lawrence won the clubman of the year award, while former Leeds United defender Matt Heath scooped the players’ player of the award.
