Richard Patterson and Luke Mangham are Stocksbridge Park Steels’ first signings of the summer.
The pair officially signed registration forms last night – ensuring an excellent start to pre-season for Stocksbridge boss Chris Hilton.
Midfielder Patterson brings a huge amount of experience to the Stocksbridge ranks from his successful spells with the likes of Staveley, Ossett Town and Shaw Lane Aquaforce.
Young attacker Mangham is reunited with Hilton as the former played under him at Worsbrough Bridge in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League.
Mangham played for Garforth Town last season and was rated as one of the players of the campaign at Wheatley Park.
Hilton has kept also hold of goalkeeper Sam Andrew and defender Brandon Cardwell.
He expects to confirm further signings and retentions on Saturday after training.
Stocksbridge have lost the services of midfielder Richard Stirrup as he is going travelling for a year.
However, contracted key striker Brad Grayson will be back for the start of the Evo Stik Division One South.
Grayson is currently playing in the Philippines for Loyola Meralco Sparks, but only for the summer and he is scheduled to fly back in August.
