Nostell Miners Welfare have been rocked by the news that new signing and midfield general John Douglas broke his arm in the 2-0 victory at Wetherby Athletic.
Douglas is one of Paul Lines’ main new faces at Crofton this season, but it looks like he faces another spell on the side-lines.
Lines is a big admirer of Douglas having also had him at Wakefield and Yorkshire Amateur.
The injured occurred during the Lee Turner inspired victory at West Yorkshire League Premier Division side Wetherby.
Lines does have some positive news as Matthew Thompson has re-signed for the upcoming Toolstation NCEL Premier Division campaign.
The Nostell boss has also signed his former Wakefield defender Ryan Donoghue along with Robert Marsh.
